City of Nolanville: June Community Spotlight: Kerry Fillip

After serving two years in the position, Kerry Fillip, Nolanville Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Director, and Keep Nolanville Beautiful (KNB) Coordinator announces her retirement.

In her time with the City and the EDC, Kerry spearheaded several community events, beautification cleanups and services for Nolanville, easily becoming the backbone of the ‘Keep Nolanville Beautiful initiative’.

Kerry has helped organize over 10 community wide cleanups, encouraged beautification through the planting of and maintenance of trees throughout the community, helped share her passion of wildflower planting through ‘seed stomping’ events, motivated residents to plant beautiful flowers throughout town; organized the inaugural Monarch Festival, and has spent so much time at our schools with the Boys and Girls Club providing interactive and informative environmental lessons.

Under her expert guidance, the City has received its fair share of recognition from local and state entities. We’ve been repeatedly ranked as a Scenic City and received recertification as a Keep Texas Beautiful Gold Star affiliate.

While Kerry may have only been with the City for 2 years, she has a long list of career achievements that together form a perfect image of compassion and hard work. She has spent so much of her life giving back to her community and the environment.

Kerry retired from the City of Nolanville in June of 2022, but she still plans to remain an active volunteer for KNB. While the City Hall staff are saddened by her departure, they wish her all the best in her newly found free time and look forward to her continued partnership with the community of Nolanville!
