Central Bell County Fire & Rescue Hosts Back To School Bash

Back-to-school time is here, and members of the Central Bell County Fire and Rescue (CBCFR) department in Nolanville helped to prepare and celebrate the students in a fun and informative way, with a back-to-school bash like none other! Food trucks, bounce houses, bike riding, mascot characters, free snow cones, and raffles were just some of the fun happenings for this event. Firefighters and Emergency responders alike were on hand to talk about fire safety and show off the equipment that keeps them safe on calls, such as turnout gear, helmets, and the engines that get them there. The CBFR is raffling off several handcrafted and donated items to raise funds for much-needed replacements of critical gear. • One-of-a-kind personalized picnic table tickets for $20 • Personalized corn-hole boards and scorekeeper Tickets for $10 • 2 Mountain bikes, donated by King of the Mountains Cyclery Tickets for $5 Think you missed your chance to purchase your raffle ticket? Well, you haven’t! The CBCFR will continue to sell tickets until October 4th, and the drawing will take place at National Night Out. For more information on the prize items or how to purchase raffle tickets, call CBCFR at (254) 589-6036. As a reminder, The CBCFR is made up of volunteers and always accepts applications for new candidates to join the cause. Volunteer first responders help their fellow citizens in times of need.
