Incentives
Nolanville promotes a business climate that maintains the integrity of our small town values while increasing economic growth. The Nolanville Economic Development Corporation board intends to utilize sales tax to bring in more businesses in order to capitalize on the growth in Central Texas. Incentives are available for projects which significantly increase the tax base and/or employment opportunities for Nolanville.
Local Government Code
The Development Corporation Act of 1979 gives cities the ability to finance new and expanded business enterprises in their local communities through economic development corporations (EDCs). Chapters 501, 504, and 505 of the Local Government Code outline the characteristics of Type A and Type B EDCs authorize cities to adopt a sales tax to fund the corporations and define projects EDCs are allowed to undertake.
Incentive Packages for New & Existing Businesses
Nolanville EDC approved the incentive Business Improvement Grant Program in January 2016. The purpose of this program is to promote the development and expansion of new and existing business enterprises within the City of Nolanville, Texas (the "City), and enhance economic welfare of the citizens of the City, by securing and retaining business enterprises and maintaining a higher level of employment, economic activity and stability.
